Getting Started Consultancy
This consultancy service incorporates both consultancy and training and is designed to get you started with designing, implementing and administering Project Online. The service is comprised of
1. Consultant onsite day to demonstrate functionality of Project Online and derive customer requirements to allow for the following outputs:
• Give advice on configuration options within Project Online focusing on security, timesheet and resource pool settings
• Show how to set the available options within Project Online focusing on security, timesheet and resource pool settings
• Give advice on configuration of resource teams and generic resources
• Advise on custom fields needed for reporting purposes
• Advise on required views within Project and Project Online
2. Develop a report to document the advice given. This will be sent on after the onsite day and will include:
• Configuration decisions reached during the on-site consultancy
• Custom fields designed during the on-site consultancy
• Views designed during the on-site consultancy
• Recommendations for additional custom fields or configuration upon reviewing decisions reached during the on-site consultancy
• How-to guides/links for clients own administrators
• Training recommendations for administrators and users (if appropriate)
The consultant will not implement the changes directly, as they will not have direct access to the clients tenant. Instead they will use a demo environment to advise, and give the best options available. This will be based on information provided by the client in terms of their objectives for Project Online and business processes around Project Management.
Design Consultancy
Following on from the ‘Getting Started Consultancy’. The consultant will put together a fully documented design for Project Online. The output will be a system design against which a development quote can be put together.
The training section introduces the client to Microsoft Project Online. It is targeted at organisations who have not previously had an Enterprise Project Management System. In the course you will review the features and options with Project Online. The course is a first step for those who will be the administrators and/or power users within the organisation.
