ITIL® (Version 5) Foundation - 2 day course

This is a 2 day, instructor-led course.

ITIL® Foundation (Version 5) introduces candidates to the key concepts of digital product and service management and establishes a common language for effective practice across organizations. It provides an overview of the ITIL framework, including the ITIL Guiding Principles, core models, and fundamental concepts, and explains how these elements are used to create, deliver, and continually improve products and services.
ITIL Foundation (Version 5) enables candidates to understand how value is co-created through the effective management of products and services, and how organizations apply ITIL guidance to improve performance, collaboration, and outcomes. It also explains how the ITIL framework has evolved to support modern technologies, data-driven decision-making, automation, artificial intelligence, and contemporary ways of working, while remaining adaptable to different organizational contexts and levels of maturity.

Upon successful completion of this course, delegates will have learned:
•   The key concepts of digital product and service management Service relationships
•   The ITIL Four Dimensions of Product and Service Management
•   The ITIL Value System (ITIL VS) How the ITIL Guiding Principles can help an organization adopt and adapt product and service management
•   The ITIL Product and Service Lifecycle Model and the value chain activities Management practices
•   The benefits of value stream mapping and management How AI affects ITIL, what is, and how ITIL interacts with other frameworks (PRINCE2® and DEVOPS INSTITUTE®)

This course is aimed at all levels of IT professional and those involved in designing, building, delivering and managing modern digital products and services.

The ITIL Foundation (Version 5) examination is intended to assess whether a candidate can demonstrate sufficient recall and understanding of the ITIL framework, to be awarded the ITIL Foundation qualification. Attending the ITIL Foundation (Version 5) is a prerequisite for the ITIL (Version 5) higher level qualifications, which assess a candidate’s ability to apply their understanding of the relevant
parts of the ITIL framework in context.
The examination is a 1 hour, closed book, multiple choice paper of 40 questions taken after completion of the course – the exam voucher is provided free of charge with this course. This will have a validity of 12 months. You will need to schedule your exams within this time frame. The pass mark is 65% (26 out of 40).
